Congratulations to Vienna Scheyer, long time member of NW Scottish Fiddlers, and leader of the Youth Band, for earning 3rd place at the national Scottish Fiddle Championship this past weekend!!! Vienna competed in the Open division, at the Edinboro U. Highland Games in Edinburg, PA. Â Here’s the open class competitors having a friendly jam session..
She played:Â Lament for the Death of King George V, Major Manson at Clachantrushal, Earl Grey, and the Forth Bridge. Calum MacKinnon, her teacher said she worked hard to get there, and did everything at every lesson he asked her to do, to make those pieces absolutely amazing.
She also won best march! (Could the bagpipe experience have helped out there? Quite possibly!)
Three cheers for Vienna!
